Trousers Drafting Fundamentals - Specialist Course
This course is designed for aspiring individuals looking to acquire a specialty in the tailoring industry, focusing on bespoke trousers drafting. Through learning the fundamental basics before moving to highly specialised advance trousers drafting. Having a strong fundamental allows for a smooth and efficient ascension to a higher level, eventually adopting a specialty in this area that will allow them to transition smoothly into the industry.
Min/Max Participants: 4 - 6 Individuals.
Course Fees: THB 28,000.
13 Sessions: 1 hours 45mins+ per session. (Two sessions every week.)
Course and Tools Requirement: English language proficiency. Tailor L-ruler, tailor curve ruler, straight ruler (minimum 18 inches in length). Notebook for notes-taking. Further information on tools will be provided prior to commencement of course.

Measurement System, understanding of anatomy & posture.
Principles of ‘FIBO’ - Anatomical theory developed by Alexander K.
Development of front trousers panel.
Front panel VS front anatomy & posture relationship study.
Development of back panel.
Back panel VS back anatomy & posture relationship study.
Course Assessment for full bespoke trousers development.
Post-assessment pattern review & refine.
Laying draft and cutting on fabric.
Building for the prototype for live fitting.
Live fitting, and identifying issues, pattern-grading & refining.
Build for prototype part II.
Build for prototype part II (Con’t).
Live fitting part II + Revisit course content.
Industry Q&A & How to move forward.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, you will be able to develop bespoke trousers pattern for various male body type. Post-course consultation support will be provided.
Receive a certificate for full course completion endorsed by The Cutting Room, and a cut-length fabric for your next trousers project.
